贊曰：下二十頌明唯利他。有二：初十六頌願他得世果、次四頌願他得出世果。初中有二：初十四頌願得現在果、後二頌令得未來果。現果分二：初七頌願令離苦、後七頌願令得樂。初中有三：此初一頌總標拔苦。

Commentary: The following twenty verses explain vows purely for the benefit of others. There are two parts: first, sixteen verses vowing that others attain mundane results; next, four verses vowing that others attain supramundane results. The first part contains two: first, fourteen verses vowing to attain present results; later, two verses causing them to attain future results. The present results are divided into two: first, seven verses vowing to cause them to be freed from suffering; later, seven verses vowing to cause them to attain joy. The first contains three parts: this first verse generally indicates the extraction of suffering.
