贊曰：釋第二徵。有三：初牒前所徵過去已滅、次辨今懺善心得生、後辨懺心所滅之障。此初也。如是過去諸法皆已滅盡者，牒前已滅。現行之法云所有業障，彼所薰種可有當生。無復遺餘，令彼當生無復遺餘，不約現行已滅說斷。

Commentary: Explaining the second question. There are three parts: first, repeating the previous question that the past has already ceased; next, explaining that the good mind of present repentance can arise; later, explaining the hindrances eradicated by the repentant mind. This is the first. “Thus, all past phenomena have already ceased completely” repeats what has already ceased previously. The active phenomena are called “all karmic hindrances”; the seeds perfumed by them may possibly arise in the future. “Have no remainder left” means causing what is to arise in the future to have no remainder left; it does not speak of severing with reference to active phenomena that have already ceased.
