贊曰：頌攝。能於三業正念成就，隨根成就，名護三業。問：何頌攝？答：行法、持法有差別故，長行令行，頌攝令持。

Commentary: Gathering in verse. Being able to accomplish right mindfulness in the three actions in accordance with one's faculties is called 'protecting the three actions.' Question: Why is it gathered in verse? Answer: Because there is a difference between practicing the Dharma and retaining the Dharma: prose leads one to practice, while verses gather [the teachings] to lead one to retain them.
