贊曰：以真如妙體超過一切種相，謂非去來非青黃赤白等一切種相。非執相境界故者，非彼執心所緣之境故。《唯識》云「圓成實於彼，常遠離前性，是故說名不一不二。」一二相形，真中絕待故，故非一二。故此意令知現身同異。

Commentary: Because the subtle essence of tathatā transcends all kinds of marks—meaning that it is free from going, coming, blue, yellow, red, white, and all other marks of any kind. That it is 'not a domain of grasped marks' means that it is not an object cognized by that grasping mind. The Vijñaptimātratāsiddhi says: 'The pariniṣpanna is eternally apart from that previous nature with respect to it; therefore it is named neither one nor two.' 'One' and 'two' are relative marks; in the true, relativity is severed, so it is neither one nor two. Thus the intent here is to make known the identity and difference of manifested bodies.
