4.151

贊曰：得護中第二領讚。文分為三：初領所說法、次頂禮虔恭即歡讚儀、後申言讚歎。此初二文，表能修行故，從坐起。作吉祥兆，故袒右肩。表能證位，故膝著地。智冥所說，故合掌。既聞妙法，知說者勝，故加恭敬。表敬之極，以頂禮足。

Commentary: The second part of obtaining protection is accepting and praising. The text is divided into three: first, accepting the Dharma that was spoken; next, bowing and showing reverent devotion, which is the ritual of joyful praise; and later, expressing praise in words. In these first two passages, arising from the seat signifies the ability to cultivate practice. Baring the right shoulder is making an auspicious omen. Placing the knee on the ground signifies the stage capable of realization. Joining the palms indicates wisdom merging with what was taught. Having heard the wondrous Dharma and knowing the speaker is superior, he adds reverence. Prostrating at the feet indicates the culmination of respect.
