Commentary: Below, the virtues of grace, divided into four: one verse on the virtue of manifesting the body and expounding the Dharma; one verse on the virtue of contemplating beings to constantly benefit them; two verses on the virtue of responding distinctly to capacities; and the final verse concluding in non-differentiation. This is the first. Emanating for others' enjoyment and transformations according with their capacities, his form is immeasurable, so it is said to be 'boundless'. Or, manifesting a great body whose measure is difficult to fathom, it is named 'boundless body'. Free from the conceptualized and because the true reality has none, he does not speak a single word on his own, hence it is said 'does not speak a single word'. Yet through the power of consciousness transforming according to causes and conditions, he causes the assembly hearing the Dharma to be completely saturated, just as a maṇi jewel rains treasures according to what is sought, and just as a heavenly drum produces sound in response to thought.
