Sūtra: 'Even if I had a thousand tongues in my mouth / Praising the Tathāgata through measureless eons, / The World-Honoured One's virtues are inconceivable, / Most supreme, profound, and difficult to express. / Even if my tongue were hundreds of thousands, / Praising a single virtue of a single buddha, / Even a tiny fraction of it would still be difficult to know, / How much more so the boundless limits of all buddhas' virtues! / Even if the great earth and all the heavens, / Up to the Peak of Existence, became sea water, / And its drops could be numbered with a hair's tip, / A single virtue of the Buddha would still be extremely difficult to measure.'
