贊曰：品文分五，初標呪勸持讚人令學、二教持神呪前之方便、三正說神呪、四廣讚功能、五教行方軌。初段有三：一對機標呪之名、二勸人持學所以、三「是故」下美人令具修學。此初也。

Commentary: The text of the chapter is divided into five parts: 1. indicating the mantra, encouraging its upholding, and praising individuals to cause them to study; 2. teaching the preparatory practices before upholding the divine mantra; 3. properly stating the divine mantra; 4. broadly praising its efficacy; 5. teaching the ritual procedure for practice.
