贊曰：下釋答，有二：初標、次釋。此標也。初菩提，釋菩提體所證，菩提心能證。
The commentary says: The explanatory reply below has two parts: first the declaration, next the explanation. This is the declaration. First, bodhi explains the essence of bodhi as that which is realized; bodhicitta is that which realizes.
