Commentary: Requesting in verse. There are two kinds of worlds: sentient beings and the receptacle [world]. Both the bodily light and the wisdom light illuminate both worlds, as the eighty-third [fascicle] of the *Yogācārabhūmi* says: 'Capable of knowing the eighty thousand, hundred thousand differences in mental actions of sentient beings, and capable of knowing how many boundless worlds in the eastern direction become and decay', etc.—this is the illumination of the wisdom light. The *Lotus Sūtra* says: 'Emitting a light from between the brows that illuminated all worlds, seeing the six destinies', etc., and also says: 'I, with my bodily light adorned with marks, brilliantly illuminate the worlds'—this is the illumination of bodily light. Among all beings with feet, the two-footed are the most superior; the two destinies of humans and devas are the two-footed. Among the two-footed of humans and devas, Brahmā, Śakra, and human kings each serve as tamers, but the Buddha can tame them, hence he is called 'Most Victorious'; śramaṇas and brāhmaṇas are tamers among humans, and the Buddha also tames them, hence he is called 'Most Honoured'; therefore he is called the 'Most Victorious Honoured One'. Thus the eighty-second [fascicle] of the *Yogācārabhūmi* says: 'The Honoured One among two-footed beings, the most victorious and supreme among all tamers, the most wondrous among the assembly of śramaṇas.' 'The Dharma of the bodhisattva's right practice' is the Dharma requested. To distinguish from the Two Vehicles and others, it says 'bodhisattva'; to distinguish from wrong practice, it is called 'right practice'. Wrong practices are immeasurable; speaking briefly and in sum, all practices accompanied by the two attachments are called wrong. Here she asks about practice that is free from attachment and accords with the right principle.
