贊曰：徵也。真如是常，菩提行等無常。常無常、生死涅槃、有體無體，體相各異，云何依法界行菩提法修平等？此意約彼執情執一向異而假徵之。

Commentary: The inquiry. Tathatā is permanent; bodhi, practice, and the like are impermanent. Permanent and impermanent, saṃsāra and nirvāṇa, having entity and lacking entity—their substances and characteristics are each distinct. How does one practice the Dharma of bodhi and cultivate equality relying upon the dharmadhātu? This meaning provisionally inquires on the basis of the clinging disposition that clings rigidly to total difference.
