贊曰：審思所以假有實無。幻象馬等但惑愚人眼耳，聞象等名見象等形，執妄謂實。實但假名無如自性，如我我所。隨所見聞不執為實，離有無執。

The commentary says: Thoroughly contemplating the reason why they conventionally exist but are substantially non-existent. Illusory elephants, horses, and the like merely delude the eyes and ears of foolish persons; hearing names such as 'elephant' and seeing shapes such as 'elephant', they grasp them mistakenly and consider them real. In reality they are merely conventional designations, lacking intrinsic nature in accordance [with their designations], just like the self and what belongs to the self. Accordant with what is seen and heard, one does not grasp them as real, thus becoming free from the graspings of existence and non-existence.
