贊曰：由聞住意大菩提果，名不可思議。由住不退必定得故，滿足上願。上願即求大菩提願，通自他利。
Commentary: "By hearing, steadying the mind": the fruit of mahābodhi is named inconceivable. Because they abide in non-retrogression, they will certainly attain it; hence it "fulfills their supreme vows." "Supreme vows" means the vow seeking mahābodhi, which encompasses both svārtha and parārtha.
