Sūtra: At that time, the Four Heavenly Kings together arose from their seats, bared one shoulder, bowed their heads at the [Buddha's] feet, placed their right knees on the ground, joined their palms in reverence, and praised the Buddha's virtues with exquisite gāthās:
"The Buddha's face is like the pure full moon,
And also like a thousand suns emitting brilliant light.
His eyes are pure, long, and broad like blue lotuses;
His teeth are white, even, and close together like conch shells and snow.
The Buddha's virtues are boundless like the great ocean,
In which inexhaustible exquisite jewels are accumulated;
The water of the virtues of wisdom is eternally brimming,
And hundreds of thousands of supreme samādhis fully fill it.
The wheel marks under his feet are all adornments,
Hub, rim, and thousand spokes are completely even;
Webs between fingers and toes everywhere adorn them,
Fully endowed with the marks like the king of geese.
The Buddha's bodily radiance is equal to a golden mountain,
Pure, extraordinary, and without match,
Also like Mount Meru filled with virtues,
Therefore I bow my head to the mountain king of buddhas.
His marks and signs are unfathomable like space,
Surpassing a thousand moons emitting brilliant light,
All like flames and illusions, inconceivable,
Therefore I bow my head, my mind free from attachment."
