5.25

下令王敬重，有三：初勸往聽除災、次勸供給得樂、後勸敬重他附。初文有五：一令尊法往聽、二令聞已慶喜、三「於彼法師」下令敬養衛護、四「演說此經」下令演法利人、五「以是緣故」下四王為除災難。

Commentary: Below, causing the king to show reverence has three parts: first, encouraging going to listen to dispel calamities; second, encouraging provision to obtain happiness; third, encouraging reverence so that others submit. The first text has five parts: first, causing them to honor the Dharma and go to listen; second, causing them to rejoice after hearing; third, from "to that Dharma master..." onward, causing them to reverently make offerings and protect him; fourth, from "expound this sūtra..." onward, causing the exposition of the Dharma to benefit people; fifth, from "For this reason..." onward, the Four Kings dispelling calamities and difficulties on their behalf.
