讚曰：此之品文，大分為三：初地神陳請、次世尊為說、後大眾喜行。初復分四：此一請儀。

The commentary says: The text of this chapter is broadly divided into three parts: first, the Earth Spirit makes her request; next, the World-Honoured One expounds it for her; finally, the great assembly rejoices and puts it into practice. The first part is further divided into four: this is the first, the etiquette of requesting.
