5.73

經　「四王當知，此贍部洲八萬四千城邑聚落，八萬四千諸人王等，各於其國受諸快樂皆得自在，所有財寶豐足受用不相侵奪，隨彼宿因而受其報，不起惡念貪求他國，咸生少欲利樂之心，無有鬪戰擊縛等苦。」

The sūtra states: 'Four Heavenly Kings, you should know that in this continent of Jambudvīpa, the eighty-four thousand cities and villages, and the eighty-four thousand human kings, each enjoy all kinds of happiness within their own countries and all achieve sovereignty. All their wealth and treasures are abundant for their enjoyment without mutual usurpation. In accordance with their past causes, they receive their retribution; they do not give rise to evil thoughts of greedily seeking other nations; they all generate minds of few desires, benefiting and giving joy, free from the suffering of battles, combat, binding, and the like.'
