5.84

贊曰：教人王弘法之儀。有四：一標王願心、二「世尊如是」下教其軌則、三「世尊時彼香烟」下依行感瑞、四「時彼諸佛聞此妙香」下明諸佛讚揚。此標王願心。

The commentary states: Teaching the ceremonial etiquette for human kings to propagate the Dharma. There are four parts: 1. indicating the king's aspirational resolve; 2. from 'World-Honoured One, such a...' onward, teaching the rules and procedures; 3. from 'World-Honoured One, at that time the smoke of that incense...' onward, the auspicious response elicited by practicing accordingly; 4. from 'At that time, when those buddhas smell this wondrous fragrance...' onward, explaining the praise by all the buddhas. This is the first, indicating the king's aspirational resolve.
