下為說法，有二：初顯說、後密說。或初說法令解、後說呪為護。初中復二：初總標、次別釋。此標也。

Below is "preaching the Dharma for them", which has two parts: first, the exoteric exposition; afterwards, the esoteric exposition. Alternatively, first preaching the Dharma to bring about understanding, and afterwards reciting the dhāraṇī to provide protection. The first also has two parts: first, a general indication; next, a distinct explanation. This is the general indication.
