6.206

經　「我為汝等說，往昔利他緣，如是菩薩行，成佛因當學。菩薩捨身時，發如是弘誓：『願我身餘骨，來世益眾生。』此是捨身處，七寶窣堵波，以經無量時，遂沈於厚地。由昔本願力，隨緣興濟度，為利於人天，從地而涌出。」

Sūtra: “I have explained to you all / the conditions of benefiting others in the past; / such bodhisattva practices, / being the cause for attaining buddhahood, should be studied. / When the Bodhisattva gave up his body, / he made such a great vow: / ‘May the remaining bones of my body / benefit sentient beings in future ages.’ / This is the place where he gave up his body; / the seven-jewelled stūpa, / having passed through immeasurable time, / consequently sank into the deep earth. / Due to the power of his past original vow, / giving rise to deliverance according to conditions, / in order to benefit humans and devas, / it welled forth from the earth.”
