6.281

下品文分四：初佛募護持、二「爾時眾中」下眾聞願護、三「爾時世尊」下佛重讚勸、四「爾時無量」下聞教喜行。初中有二：初普告大眾，結前所說。

The chapter's text below has four parts: first, the Buddha recruits protectors; second, from 'At that time, in the assembly' onward, the assembly hears and vows to protect; third, from 'At that time, the World-Honoured One' onward, the Buddha praises and exhorts them again; fourth, from 'At that time, immeasurable...' onward, hearing the teaching, they joyfully put it into practice. In the first part there are two divisions: first, addressing the great assembly everywhere, summarizing what was expounded previously.
