6.38

下十一頌明演說行。復分為五：初半頌嚴座；二次半頌法師儀軌；三次一頌演說經，即教他書寫及誦受持；四次四頌說法瑞相；五次五頌演法利益，有十：一得吉祥、二所作成、三功德滿、四有名稱、五滅煩惱、六除怨敵、七無惡夢、八消毒害、九滅諸罪、十無怨酬。初三頌各三利，後二頌有一利，如文可知。

The next eleven verses explain the practice of expounding. They are again divided into five parts: first, half a verse on adorning the seat; second, half a verse on the deportment and ritual of the Dharma master; third, one verse on expounding the sūtra—that is, teaching others to copy, recite, accept, and uphold it; fourth, four verses on the auspicious signs of expounding the Dharma; fifth, five verses on the benefits of expounding the Dharma, of which there are ten: 1. attaining auspiciousness, 2. accomplishing what one undertakes, 3. fulfilling merit, 4. gaining renown, 5. extinguishing afflictions, 6. eliminating enemies, 7. having no bad dreams, 8. neutralizing poisons and harms, 9. extinguishing all sins, 10. being free from vengeance. The first three verses have three benefits each, and the last two verses have one benefit each, as is evident from the text.
