下後雙略答過去修勝行、種善根二問。下云「過去聞佛名等，名善根因緣」故。後「是故我今」下結答。

Below, the second part briefly answers both questions regarding having cultivated superior practices and planted good roots in the past. This is because below it says: "Hearing the names of buddhas in the past and so forth is called causes and conditions of good roots." Finally, from "That is why I now" onward, it concludes the answer.
