贊曰：以下二品第二廣明十千得記因緣。有二：此品明得起緣起，〈流水〉正明得記因緣。緣起分二：此初勅聽許說。

Commentary: The subsequent two chapters form the second section, extensively explaining the causes and conditions of the ten thousand obtaining their predictions. It has two parts: this chapter clarifies the origination of their attainment, while the "Jalavāhana [Chapter]" directly clarifies the causes and conditions of obtaining the prediction. The origination is divided into two: this first part enjoins listening and grants the exposition.
