下第二明菩薩父，有四：一住處、二「有一長者」下德號、三「名曰持水」指名、四「善解」下明醫能。八術，如下。

Below, the second [part] clarifies the father of the bodhisattva, which has four [parts]: first, the dwelling place; second, from 'there was an elder' onward, the title of virtue; third, 'named Jalaṃdhara' indicates the name; fourth, from 'well versed' onward clarifies his medical capability. The eight arts are as follows below.
