The commentary says: Within this chapter, the main text has four divisions: first, the request of Apratihataprabhā; second, the Tathāgata's reply for him; third, the praise by Mahābrahmā; fourth, the assembly at the time obtaining benefits. The first, the request, has three parts: first, the person making the request; next, the ritual procedure of the request; afterwards, the actual presenting of the request. This is the first, the person. Because he is able to attain the four fearlessnesses of a bodhisattva, he is named Siṃhalakṣaṇa ("Lion-Marks"); being free from obstacles is named Apratihata ("Unimpeded"); having attained mastery of wisdom and being able to illuminate both ultimate and conventional is named Prabhā-jvāla ("Radiant Blazes"). This takes its name from both metaphor and dharma.
