5.16

Sūtra: "World-Honoured One! We four kings practice the true Dharma, constantly expound the true Dharma, and transform the world through Dharma. We cause those devas, nāgas, yakṣas, gandharvas, asuras, garuḍas, kumbhāṇḍas, kiṃnaras, mahoragas, and human kings to constantly transform the world through righteous royal laws, blocking and expelling all evil spirits and ghosts who suck human vitality and lack compassion, causing them all to depart far away. World-Honoured One! We four kings, along with the twenty-eight classes of great yakṣa generals and countless hundreds of thousands of yakṣas, through our pure divine eyes that surpass those of worldly people, observe and protect this Jambudvīpa. World-Honoured One! By virtue of these causes and conditions, we kings are named the Protectors of the World."
