問佛三身及本生事。本生，謂宿世所行事。《入楞伽》云：「如來有幾種？本生事亦然。」
This asks about the three bodies of the Buddha and the events of past births. "Past births" (jātaka) refers to deeds performed in previous lifetimes. The Ru lengqie [jing] says: "How many kinds of Tathāgatas are there? The matters of past births are also thus."
