洪武十一年七月初十日，天界善世禪寺住持（宗泐）、演福教寺住持（如玘），持奉新註《楞伽經》，同考功監令李永等官，於　西華樓進呈御覽。當日欽奉聖旨：這經好生註得停當，可即刊板印行，教天下眾僧每講習。欽此。

On the tenth day of the seventh month in the eleventh year of the Hongwu reign, Zongle, Abbot of the Tianjie Shanshi Chan Monastery, and Ruqi, Abbot of the Yanfu Teaching Monastery, presented the newly commented Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra for imperial inspection at the Pavilion of Western Splendour, together with Li Yong, Director of the Directorate of Merit Evaluation, and other officials. On that day, the imperial decree was reverently received: "This sūtra has been commented upon very appropriately. Let woodblocks be cut immediately and printed for circulation, instructing all monks throughout the realm to lecture on it and study it. Respect this."
