上云青赤等塵發生五識，如海、波浪皆非一異，又云「心能積集業」等，故致斯問。

Above it was said that dusts such as blue and red give rise to the five consciousnesses, which like the ocean and waves are neither identical nor different, and it was also said that 'mind can accumulate karma' and so on; hence he poses this question.
