The Tathāgata frequently uses analogies such as a river flowing, a seed, or a lamp to refute their vikalpa of conditioned, constructed dharmas as all being empty, impermanent, and momentary. The foolish and ignorant do not understand this esoteric discourse and give rise to the vikalpa of momentariness. 'When the momentary ceases, agitation is stilled,' and so forth, directly versifies the meaning of the hidden and intentional teaching above, meaning that if one can understand the momentary, one can still agitation and embody tranquility; then naturally one is free from what is made. Hence all dharmas are unarisen; this is why he explains the meaning of momentariness.
