"Mahāmati, on the first bodhisattva stage, a bodhisattva-mahāsattva abides in the Buddha's supernatural power, namely by entering the Bodhisattva Mahāyāna Illumination Samādhi. Having entered this samādhi, all Buddhas of the worlds of the ten directions, through their supernatural power, manifest for him all bodies, faces, and speech, as in the case of the bodhisattva-mahāsattva Vajragarbha and other bodhisattva-mahāsattvas accomplished in such qualities of lakṣaṇa."
