"Mahāmati, for this reason I say that it is better to grasp a view of person as large as Mount Sumeru than to give rise to an empty view of excessive pride regarding nonexistence. Mahāmati, one of excessive pride regarding nonexistence is called a destroyer: falling into expectations regarding views of svalakṣaṇa and sāmānyalakṣaṇa, not knowing cittadṛśyamātra, seeing external natures as impermanent, momentarily and successively deteriorating, the continuous flow of the aggregates, realms, and entrances altering and ceasing, with vikalpa that is divorced from the characteristics of letters—this is called a destroyer."
