Regarding the "mind-made body of the bliss of correct absorption in samādhi": this bodhisattva, from the third to the fourth stage, severs the delusions of view, and from the fifth to the seventh stage, severs the delusions of thought, attaining the bliss of the samādhi of true emptiness. Samādhi translates as "correct absorption"; stating both "samādhi" and "correct absorption" simply gives both the Chinese and Sanskrit terms together. "Mind-made body" means forming the body of the true-emptiness dharmatā through mental volition. "Various aspects of one's own mind," and so forth: this means that the bodhisattva realizes emptiness unlike the two vehicles, whose minds produce relish and attachment and are moved by the wind of marks; hence it is called "abiding peacefully upon the ocean of mind." Nor is it like ordinary people who give rise to the waves of the six consciousnesses, for they understand that all realms are merely appearances of their own mind, all lacking svabhāva. This is the first mind-made body. This is self-cultivation.
