1.48

諸法既隱，楞伽王唯見自身住本宮中，此明不離當處也。作是思惟，即起尋伺觀也。諦觀諸法，誰說誰聽？為是何物？覓諸法相，了不可得。

When all phenomena vanished, the King of Laṅkā saw only his own body abiding in his original palace; this clarifies not departing from this very place. Making this reflection, he gave rise to the contemplation of investigative reasoning. Closely contemplating all phenomena: who preaches and who hears? What thing is it? Seeking the characteristics of all phenomena, none can be found at all.
