1.74

此正問如來法與非法二義，云何可捨也？前以莊嚴具供養，此復以莊嚴具嚴身，何也？此表進問威儀，不敢輕易。餘義經文自明。

This is the direct inquiry to the Tathāgata regarding the two meanings of dharma and non-dharma: how can they be abandoned? Previously he made offerings with adorned articles, and here he again adorns his body with adorned articles; why is this? This expresses the dignified bearing appropriate for advancing to ask questions, not daring to treat it lightly. The remaining meaning is clear from the sūtra text itself.
