注大乘入楞伽經 10.37

10.37

謂依如來能詮聖教、所詮正理，如實修行、斷惑證真，則無有虛棄；捨此欲滅煩惱，皆為魔說。

This means that if one cultivates in accordance with reality and severs delusion to realize the true by relying on the sacred teaching that can express it and the correct principle expressed by the Tathāgata, there will be no futile waste; departing from this in seeking to extinguish afflictions is entirely the teaching of Māra.
