自下明真心之德用也。以有此第一義心，故能成就如來法身，及世出世間最上菩提涅槃淨妙等一切諸法。若無此心，則不能成。
From here below, [the text] clarifies the virtuous function of the true mind. Because this paramārtha mind exists, one is able to accomplish the Tathāgata's Dharmakāya and all supreme, pure, and wonderful dharmas, worldly and supramundane, such as bodhi and nirvāṇa. If this mind did not exist, they could not be accomplished.
