2.86

先佛所說，離見相句，皆與實相不相違背，自然遠離諸惡見過，亦離世間言所成法，都無實義。當為汝說，誡令諦聽。故龍勝云：「聽者端視如渴飲，一心入於語義中，聞法誦躍心悲喜，如是之人可為說。」

The statements spoken by previous buddhas that are free from views and characteristics are all not contrary to dharmatā, naturally keeping far away from the faults of evil views, and are also free from the dharmas produced by worldly words, which entirely lack real meaning. I shall explain them for you; he admonishes him to listen attentively. Therefore, Nāgārjuna says: "The listener gazes intently like one who is thirsty drinking, enters with one mind into the meaning of the words, and upon hearing the Dharma leaps with joy and a sorrowful heart—to such a person it may be preached."
