3.112

初治地人，即不定種性者，三乘俱可入也。為說是種性，令彼明悟了權趣實，超入第八無所有地，任運至如來地，故作此建立。

Persons of the ground of initial practice are those of indeterminate lineage, who can enter any of the three vehicles. Teaching them these lineages causes them to understand clearly, comprehend the provisional, proceed toward the real, transcend into the eighth ground of non-possession, and naturally reach the Tathāgata ground; hence this establishment is made.
