3.24

大慧因上言，兔角等離於有無，互因待故，分析牛角，乃至極微，求不可得。而為離彼妄見，復問佛言：彼離見者，既不作牛有角想，豈不以比度觀待，同妄計言無耶？

Because it was stated above that a hare's horns and the like are free from existence and non-existence due to mutual dependence, and when analyzing the ox's horns down to subtle atoms they are sought but unfindable, in order to abandon those delusive views, Mahāmati again asks the Buddha: since one who is free from views does not form the thought that an ox has horns, does one not, by inferential comparison and relativity, likewise falsely calculate and speak of non-existence?
