注大乘入楞伽經 3.70

3.70

此謂聲聞知彼四大形顯色等種種諸法，非如外道計作者生。然守如來止啼權說，於自共相妄想執著；菩薩於彼應知唯是自心妄現，故應捨離，了我法空，漸入智地到如來境。

This means that śrāvakas know that the various dharmas such as shape-matter and color-matter of the four great elements are not produced by a creator as non-Buddhists imagine. Yet holding to the Tathāgata's provisional teaching to stop crying, they falsely discriminate and cling to individual and common characteristics; bodhisattvas, regarding these, should know that they are merely the false manifestations of their own mind, and therefore should abandon them, comprehend the emptiness of persons and dharmas, and gradually enter the stage of wisdom to reach the Tathāgata's realm.
