4.151

二乘覺知陰界入中無冥諦神我，捨離憒閙，煩惱障滅不生顛倒，不起未來生死分別，彼於其中生涅槃想。故《法華經》云「但盡生死名為解脫，其實未得一切解脫。」

The two vehicles understand that within the aggregates, realms, and bases there is no primordial matter or spiritual self; relinquishing tumult, their afflictive obstructions are extinguished without giving rise to inverted views, and they do not give rise to discriminations regarding future saṃsāra, generating the notion of nirvāṇa within that. Therefore, the Lotus Sūtra says: "Merely exhausting birth and death is called liberation, but in truth they have not yet attained complete liberation."
