4.64

若言說與分別異者，不應因分別起言說。若言說與分別不異者，以分別不顯義，言說亦應不顯義，而言說能顯義，是故俱非。

If speech and vikalpa were different, speech should not arise because of vikalpa. If speech and vikalpa were not different, since vikalpa does not manifest meaning, speech should also not manifest meaning; yet speech can manifest meaning. Therefore, both [views] are incorrect.
