The One Vehicle means the one mind, taking containing and conveying as its sense. If one grasps at conditions and apprehends objects, it conveys one into the gates of the six destinies; if parikalpa does not arise, it conveys one to the ground of the one reality. Therefore the Buddha said to Mahāmati: To dwell according with reality, free from grasper and grasped—this is to realize that the falsity of saṃsāra is identical to the reality of nirvāṇa; suddenly awakening to the one mind, there is nowhere else to go. Hence, it cannot be known by the perverse and inferior mental actions of ordinary beings and followers of the two vehicles.
