又根本識為因，變起根身種子器界為所緣故，故云執著自心所現境界諸心聚生，是謂從種起現，由現生種，現種無性猶如茭蘆，遞相為因，故云展轉為因。

Furthermore, because the fundamental consciousness serves as cause and transforms into the sense faculties, body, seeds, and receptacle world as objective conditions, it is said: "Clinging to the cognitive objects manifested by one's own mind, the mental aggregates arise." This means that from seeds active manifestations arise, and from active manifestations seeds are generated; active manifestations and seeds lack svabhāva, like a sheaf of reeds, mutually serving as cause. Hence it is said: "reciprocally serving as causes."
