The Buddha knows that dharmas arisen from causes and conditions are non-arisen, unlike their parikalpa and vikalpa that conceive of transformations of worldly dharmas within causes and conditions. But the worldly sphere arising from conditions is originally unreal, like a city of the gandharvas. Thus we know that when illuminated by wisdom, worldly dharmas are themselves the Buddhadharma, and therefore there is no vikalpa. When clung to through emotional attachment, the Buddhadharma itself becomes worldly dharma, and therefore transformation is asserted. The one mind is truly unmoving, yet two views naturally diverge; within the very same single dharma, distinct understandings of ordinary being and sage are formed.
