The words "the unreal objects of the various forms, sounds, smells, tastes, tangibles, and phenomena of sentient beings" answer the preceding question regarding the aspects in which false conceptualization operates. "Being unable to comprehend what is manifested of one's own mind" answers the preceding question of how false conceptualization arises. "Falsely clinging to the grasped and the grasper and giving rise to various conceptual discriminations" answers the preceding question of where false conceptualization arises. "Falling into views of existence and non-existence, augmenting the habitual tendencies of erroneous views of non-Buddhists" answers the preceding question of the causes of false conceptualization. "When mind and mental factors arise in association, clinging to the graspability of various external objects" answers the preceding question of what the essence of false conceptualization is. "Clinging to the self and what belongs to the self, therefore it is termed false discrimination" answers the preceding question of the name of false conceptualization. What is stated by "mind and mental factors arise in association," and so forth, means that when the eight consciousnesses as lords of the mind and the six classes of mental factors arise in association, one clings to the graspability of various phenomena such as forms. The remaining meanings are self-evident from the text.
