言生法若非實有，彼因緣與誰為因緣？此二句牒外道計也。以其展轉相生故，正知有因緣義，無別有生性也。

This means: if produced dharmas are not truly existent, for whom do those causes and conditions serve as causes and conditions? These two lines cite the assertion of non-Buddhists. Because they are mutually produced in succession, one correctly knows that there is the meaning of cause and condition, and that there is no distinctly existing nature of arising.
