注大乘入楞伽經 7.44

7.44

言財利增長貪愛、生老病死、憂悲苦惱，不應親近。法利蒙佛灌頂，於一切法悉得自在，故應親近承事供養。

This says that material gain increases craving, birth, old age, sickness, death, sorrow, lamentation, and suffering; one should not associate with it. In the benefit of the Dharma, one receives the Buddha's consecration and attains complete mastery over all phenomena; therefore one should draw near, serve, and make offerings to it.
